Oxytocin and Brain Reward and Stress Responses to Infant Cues is Addicted Mothers
This summer experience will provide undergraduate students with exposure to basic research in aspects of drug use and pathways to addiction and in the design and implementation of neurobehavioral studies of new mothers and their children. The goal is to provide the student with exposure to clinical research in addiction as well as a broad understanding of the family impact of addiction across generations.
An interest in mothers and babies, and moderate level computer skills. Experience in Photoshop would be helpful but not necessary.
The student will assist lab staff in preparing for study visits, including editing baby face images and audio files, and preparing interview transcripts and videos for coding. They will also help implement study visits and assist in functional MRI scanning visits.
