Research project title
Natural Hazards Vulnerability and Water Sustainability Indicators
Research description
Improving sustainability and reducing societal vulnerability to natural hazards are important goals, but we need metrics in order to gage current status and trends. I have two ongoing projects, both involving the development of environmental and social indicators. The first examines sustainability of groundwater in South India, while the second is measuring social vulnerability to natural hazards here in the U.S.
