Based on the fact that firms are rarely operating in isolation, my research aims to predict a firm's performance based on the performance of other companies operating in the same supply chain network. Following a network approach, this thesis identifies relevant neighbors of a focal firm beyond immediate business partners. Empirical results show incremental predictive power of a firm's performance with respect to traditional features included in finance literature.
