Lee Marchalonis is enrolled in the joint School of Library and Information Science graduate program and the Center for the Book certificate program, and is a printing specialist research assistant at the Center for the Book.

She is working toward achieving an ideal combination of technical and creative competencies, while acquiring a historical awareness of different print processes. As a print specialist, she has been designing and printing posters and mailings from lead and wood type to advertise Center for the Book events.

“The technical binding skills I have learned at the Center for the Book have allowed me to start making artist books printed with a variety of techniques that span the gamut from traditional to contemporary,” Marchalonis said.
