Biography

Cooperative ligands are designed to promote cooperativity between a metal and ligand to minimize energy consumption needed to promote chemical reactions. My dissertation is focused on the fundamental studies aimed at understanding the interplay between redox and chemical ligand-centered reactivity. Understanding the interplay between these two different types of reactivity may yield new chemistries that could be used to develop novel catalysts for converting carbon dioxide (CO2) - a potent greenhouse gas - into useful chemicals.
