Yazeed grew up and completed his undergraduate studies there in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, later he earned his master's degree in water resources from Colorado State University. Yazeed is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Iowa. Driven by his passion for addressing real-world challenges and contributing to resilient communities, he embarked on his academic and research journey. Yazeed’s work has already had a positive impact by providing valuable tools and insights for informed decision-making to minimize the impact of floods. Looking ahead, his goal is to further advance the field by enhancing flood preparedness, response, and resilience. Outside of his research, Yazeed enjoys spending quality time with his family and maintaining a healthy lifestyle through regular gym visits.
