Vaping vs. Asthma: Smoking without the Smoke
Vingie is a PhD candidate in the Human Toxicology Program studying vaping (e-cigarette use) using translational mouse models. She graduated with a B.S. in Biochemistry with a minor in Math in 2018 from Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL. The goal of her research is to understand the health implications and the respiratory outcomes of inhaling substances like e-cig aerosol, with the eventual goal of expanding into other drugs of abuse like cannabis. At work, she enjoys coding, designing experiments, and working with animals. Besides lab work, she enjoys creative writing, reading comics, watching detective dramas, and tending to her collection of plants.
