Determining Early Signals that Lead to Sjögren’s Syndrome

Ivy is a third-year Immunology PhD candidate studying under the mentorship of Dr. Scott Lieberman. She graduated with a B.S. in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Pathobiology in 2018 from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. Her research focuses on trying to identify early signals that lead to glandular infiltration in Sjögren’s-like autoimmunity. Sjögren’s Syndrome is a grossly under diagnosed autoimmune disease that has no cure. The goal of her research is to identify these early signals with the hope to develop better diagnostic tools or potential therapeutics. Outside of lab, Ivy loves to spend time with her husband and dog, Jersey, while awaiting the arrival of her daughter, due any day now.
