Biography

My dissertation study aims to investigate classroom epistemic climates through students’ perceptions and teachers’ epistemic growth. This dissertation consists of two research studies. The first study exhibits how students perceive their learning activities. The second study addresses how teaching practices change across three years as teachers develop epistemic orientations towards teaching and learning. These multiple angles on classroom learning environments provide a better understanding of how rich epistemic climates create and support students’ growth.
