My research aims to improve patient outcomes using bone tissue engineering. To grow bone efficiently, bone cells need scaffolding to cling to and genetic signals to instruct them to build bone. Throughout my graduate career, I have developed synthetic scaffolds that contain different types of gene therapy with the aim of creating an off-the-shelf solution to regrowing bone.
