Incarceration, alcohol abuse, and racial/ethnic health disparities are responsible for a considerable public health burden. Providing alcohol treatment in prisons and jails could have substantial benefits over treatment in the general population, as these may be opportune settings to intervene with a population historically unlikely to seek treatment. The aim of my dissertation is to better understand racial/ethnic differences in alcohol treatment completion in a population of incarcerated adults.
