Reproduction is a core organismal trait, and transitions between reproductive strategies may influence the evolutionary trajectory of a species. My dissertation research utilizes newly sequenced genomes from Diachasma wasps to a) investigate whether sex loss in an asexual wasp is associated with changes in genes involved in sexual processes, and b) assess whether reproductive mode influences genome-scale evolutionary patterns in Diachasma.
