I research how brains reorganize after injury. By analyzing the brain networks of patients recovering from brain surgery, I can investigate how connections between brain regions alter as the patient recovers. Testing done before and after surgery allows me to determine which brain network properties are associated with better recovery of cognitive abilities. Understanding how the brain recovers is important for improving the lives of patients with brain injuries.
