Our proposed statistical model for dose-finding clinical trials allows researchers to recruit patients from 2-5 subgroups who might benefit from the same treatment, but not necessarily the same dose. For example, cancer patients whose tumors started in different organs but grow using the same biochemical pathway. Our method performs better or at least as well as established methods across a range of scenarios. Additionally, our method addresses practical concerns including unequal enrollment rates between subgroups.
