With changes to the reproductive system from cancer and its treatment for women of childbearing age, it is important to understand how pediatric and adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer treatment impacts birth outcomes. Using large unique datasets, my dissertation aims to assess whether diagnosis of cancer prior to pregnancy is associated with gestational diabetes, gestational hypertension, and preterm delivery. Furthermore, I will evaluate cancer history in the mother with metabolic vulnerability in newborns.
