Managing the Market Summer Collaborative
Get Ready for the Academic Job Market
The University of Iowa's Grad Success Center is offering a Managing the Market Summer Collaborative to support graduate students as they prepare for the academic job market. This five-week program will bring together a cohort of graduate students to draft and workshop their academic materials including C.V.s and cover letters and research, teaching, and DEI statements.
Participating students gain:
- Complete Set of Academic Job Materials: Participants will create and refine a full set of application documents, including C.V.s, cover letters, and research, teaching, and DEI statements.
- Guided Support and Accountability: Grad Success staff and a graduate assistant will plan meetings and deliver mini lessons on key aspects of preparing each document.
- Peer Feedback: Each session includes peer feedback on your drafted materials for that week.
- Resources: Gain access to select resources, videos, and example materials to guide your drafting process.
Dates: Thursdays July 11th-August 9th
