Poor solubility of drugs is leading cause of lower absorption and effectivity of oral medicines. To overcome these challenges, we develop new cocrystals (two or more drugs in single crystal) of Theophylline with other materials. Substantial solubility improvement is seen in order of molar-ratio (1:2 cocrystal> 1:1 cocrystal> Theophylline) and solubility of the added material (3 NBA> 4-NBA). Thus, designing higher stoichiometry cocrystals with high solubility materials could be used a novel approach for solubility enhancement.
