The University of Iowa Scholars' Table is a networking and professional development program hosted by the Graduate College. It features small-group lunch or dinner gatherings where graduate students connect with external speakers, alumni, and faculty guests.

This intimate gathering fosters intellectual connections and builds supportive academic communities at Iowa. These cross disciplinary conversations focus on academic jobs, process, and trajectories.

The Graduate College contributes partial funding to graduate programs that bring in faculty speakers.

Reinaldo Franqui Machin (pictured right) was featured at a Scholars' Table event in 2025. Machin earned his PhD in Molecular Biology at the University of Iowa in 2018.
