Biography

T cells are an important component of the immune system, which integrates signals from multiple sources to maintain a balance between clearing infection and limiting collateral damage to the host. The goal of my dissertation work is to understand how T cell activation, and function, is regulated, with an emphasis on the role of the signaling protein TRAF3 in these processes. This will provide insights relevant to the use of T cells for therapeutic applications.
