Biography

Noise induced hearing loss is the most common form of hearing impairment. Exposure to high intensity noise induces minor damages to the auditory neurons, which cannot be diagnosed by conventional audiometric methods. Noise induced damages will accumulate over time and could lead to debilitating hearing disorder. My research is twofold, it tries to understand the mechanism involved in noise induced neuronal damage and, look for drugs with therapeutic potential to treat such neuronal damages.
