Bioadhesive strategies for drug delivery are advantageous compared to current therapies since it has ability to increase the residence time of the drug at the site of application. My research focuses on understanding the effect of bioadhesive drug delivery systems on buccal and esophageal absorption. Studying these bioadhesive strategies help us understand easy delivery options for improved systemic absorption or local delivery for a variety of therapeutic needs.
