Factorization has played an important role in mathematics. For example, 14 = 2 * 7. Here, we could call the numbers 2 and 7 atoms since they cannot be factored further into smaller pieces. Much like in the real world, some atoms behave differently than other atoms. In this thesis, we will investigate the differences between various atoms and characterize several important properties involving mathematical systems with atoms.
