The process of becoming a teacher is more than completing courses and passing examinations. While obtaining a teaching license is essential for one wanting to enter the teaching profession, it is only part of what it means to become a teacher. The focus of my research is the development of ESL teacher identities during their student teaching experience. Through interviews and document collection, this research will help expand on the growing understanding of teacher development.
