Biography
English learners (ELs) are one of the fastest growing demographic groups in U.S. schools. Yet little has been studied about the ways that districts make curricular decisions for these students at the secondary level. My research analyzes the ways that one Midwestern school district has gone about policy development for these students, how teachers utilize materials given to them, and how ELs may or may not be receiving an equitable education.
