Biography

Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (pNETs) are rare, difficult-to-treat cancers with unclear molecular pathogenesis. My research seeks to advance our understanding of a novel pNET driver (protein) called RABL6A, required for pNET cell survival and proliferation. My first project employs a powerful genetic screen called Sleeping Beauty to identify currently undefined RABL6A-regulated pNET pathways. My second project explores the in vivo role of RABL6A in pNET development and progression using a genetic pNET mouse model called RIP-Tag2.
