Biography

My research explores patterns in urban predator distributions (e.g., red fox, coyote) and relationships between these patterns and urban landscapes and urban peoples, focusing particularly on understudied cities in Midwestern agricultural landscapes. My dissertation builds an understanding of how and why urban environments support (or fail to support) predator species and how relationships between these predators, their environments, and human populations compare among cities of different sizes and in different settings.
