My thesis project is focused on improving the ability to interpret copy number variants (CNVs) we don't have enough information about to clearly determine if they are disease-causing ("VUS CNVs"). We aim to do this by utilizing genic and phenotypic information about known benign and pathogenic CNVs to identify VUS CNVs which may be related to the patient's phenotype.
