Air pollution in India leads to more than one million deaths every year. While air pollutant concentrations are usually higher than standard values throughout the year, they show drastic changes due to episodic events. The goal of our research is to provide detailed information regarding the state of air quality in India during some events, such as COVID-19 lockdown period, using model simulations. This information also helps decision makers to implement efficient emission control scenarios.
