Biography
The air we breathe contains particles that affect human health and influence the Earth's climate. My doctoral thesis focuses on expanding our knowledge of under-characterized particle sources. Through field-based measurements in the Midwestern United States, I evaluate the concentration and properties of atmospheric pollen fragments formed under extreme weather conditions. I also assess the composition and sources of airborne particles during the Lake Michigan Ozone Study to improve air quality management.
