The Graduate College Orientation Engagement and Resource Fair offers new University of Iowa students a chance to connect with campus and community organizations, enjoy food trucks, live music, and take professional photos.

Engagement & Resource Fair
- Date: Wednesday, August 19th, 2026
- Time: 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
- Location: Main Lounge, Iowa Memorial Union (125 N Madison St., Iowa City, 52245)
Why come to the fair?
- Have dinner from local food trucks
- Please stop by the registration tables outside the IMU Main Lounge before the event to pick up your $12 voucher. Supplies are limited!
- Have a free professional photo taken
- Listen to live music at the IMU Amphitheater
- Learn about new activities and ways of thinking
- Develop a sense of community on and off campus
- Find groups that will help build skills and your resume
- Meet other new students with similar or differing interests
Food trucks
On the day of the event
- Stay tuned as the list of participating organizations grows
- Think about which groups or organizations might interest you and learn more
- Pick up a BINGO card at a registration table and earn prizes for interacting with different groups and organizations!
Transportation & Parking
We suggest taking the CAMBUS or public transportation to the IMU due to heavy traffic throughout the week.

Each organization sets up a booth to showcase its offerings, which encompass diverse interests ranging from ways to become involved in the university and local community to campus resources.
