Improv-ing Your Communication Skills: Using Games to Build Connection

The Grad College is partnering with GSS to offer two days of Grad Improv during Winterim (students can choose either January 13th or 14th). Improve your comfort with public speaking and presentations, feel more comfortable responding to questions, and practice communicating your research to broad audiences through this workshop.  We will use improv-theatre games to engage and build communication skills.

This popular event is taught by UI theater experts, Lisa Kelly and Kristy Hartsgrove-Mooers and often fills quickly. Students will learn improv techniques applicable to both research communication and teaching. Lunch will be provided. Priority deadline for registration is Dec. 15th but will remain open until all 20 spots fill up.
